Glass bottle – medicine bottle made of white glass with a black child-resistant cap is a professional packaging suitable for filling various liquid and drop-dispensed preparations. The sturdy glass provides a stable environment for the contents and helps maintain their properties throughout the entire period of use. Thanks to the precise closure with a safety feature, the packaging is particularly suitable wherever reliable sealing, accurate dosing and protection against unintended opening are important.
This type of medicine bottle is ideal for formulations that require hygienic, safe and aesthetically clean packaging. High-quality glass is chemically resistant to common cosmetic and technical mixtures, which reduces the risk of interaction between the packaging and the product. In combination with a suitable closure or dosing element, it represents a practical and professional solution for smaller volumes of specialized preparations.
Glass bottles – medicine bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the specific product. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that the final product is reliable even during long-term use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the enclosed packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
Glass is generally a very stable and chemically resistant material, therefore the packaging is also suitable for formulations containing alcohol or commonly used preservatives. For every new product, however, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test in order to verify the behaviour of the specific recipe over time (colour, scent, clarity, sedimentation), and at the same time to test the sealing and dosing with the selected type of closure or applicator.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed, especially for your own cosmetics or technical solutions. Before every new filling, however, it is important to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the cap in order to minimize the risk of contamination. For disinfection, we recommend using for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in technical grade, available as the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After thorough rinsing and drying, the packaging is ready for a new filling.
Before first use, we recommend mechanically rinsing the bottle with clean water and a mild cleaning agent, then rinsing it with a sufficient amount of clean water so that no detergent residues remain. After washing, let the glass dry naturally or dry it with a clean, lint-free cloth. For professional and sensitive formulations, it is advisable to disinfect the packaging with alcohol before filling (for example using products available on Handymade) and let it air out so that the alcohol evaporates. Only then is the packaging ready to be filled with the final product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information provided in the product parameters. The glass part of the medicine bottle can, in most systems, be placed in the container designated for glass once you have removed any remaining contents. The child-resistant cap may be made of a different material than the glass itself, so follow the material designation in the parameter table for the product on Handymade and sort it accordingly (usually into the container for plastic or metal). Before recycling, it is advisable to rinse the packaging and remove all product residues in order to prevent contamination of sorted waste.
On Handymade, you can use the advanced filter when selecting, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category (for example bottles, medicine bottles, jars or dispensers). In the filter, you can clearly set key parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. Thanks to this, you will quickly find combinations of bottles and closures that correspond to your product and the required dosing method. For specific requirements, we recommend combining filtering with a detailed reading of the descriptions and quality certificates of the individual packaging items.
