FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this plastic pill jar be used repeatedly?

The jar can be used repeatedly as long as you follow basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the packaging and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and ensures the stability of the new contents.

How should the plastic jar be properly cleaned before further use?

First remove any residues of the original contents and rinse the jar with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent. After washing, allow it to dry thoroughly and then disinfect the inner walls and the closure with a suitable alcohol (for example with products available at Handymade). After the alcohol has evaporated, the packaging is ready for refilling. Always make sure that no residues of the previous product or of the cleaning agent remain in the packaging.

How can I dispose of or recycle this jar in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer wish to use it?

If you decide not to use the jar any longer, we recommend cleaning it of any remaining contents and then sorting it according to the material designation given in the product parameters. The recycling symbol and the type of plastic will indicate which container the packaging belongs to (for example, the container for plastics). By sorting correctly you support the reprocessing of the material and reduce the amount of waste. Before disposal, it is advisable to separate the body of the jar and the lid if they are made of different plastics.
