The dark glass helps protect more sensitive components of formulations from undesirable effects of light, which contributes to the stability and longer shelf life of the contents. Before the first filling, it is advisable to clean the packaging mechanically (rinsing with a suitable detergent, followed by thorough rinsing with water) and then disinfect it. For disinfection we recommend using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the disinfectant, let all parts, including the dispenser, dry thoroughly at room temperature to avoid diluting your formulation with residual liquid.
The packaging can be reused provided strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend disassembling the bottle and the dispenser as much as possible, cleaning them mechanically, rinsing and then disinfecting them using products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after complete drying is the packaging ready for a new filling, which minimises the risk of microbial contamination or deterioration of the contents.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle, after rinsing off product residues, is usually placed in a container intended for glass. The dispenser, consisting of several material components (plastic, metal springs, etc.), should, where local conditions allow, be sorted or included in plastic collection according to local recycling rules. Always follow the pictogram and information provided with the product and the general guidelines of your recycling centre or municipal services.
The functionality of the pump dispenser depends on the viscosity and composition of the specific formulation. Before placing the product on the market, we recommend carrying out tests with the actual cream or emulsion – check the smoothness of pumping, the size of one dose, the ability to completely empty the bottle and the long-term functionality after repeated use. If the preparation is too thick, it may be necessary to adjust the formulation (for example, slightly reducing the viscosity) or to choose another type of packaging. A compatibility test helps prevent complaints and ensures user comfort for the end customer.
