Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the dropper, rinsing them and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol (for example products available on Handymade: IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). Only after complete drying is the packaging ready for a new filling. With repeated use, always check whether any mechanical damage to the glass or the dropper has occurred.

For consistent dosing it is important to adapt the viscosity of the product to the type of dropper. Thicker oils or solutions may run off more slowly, so it is advisable to produce a trial batch and verify whether the dropper dispenses the desired number of drops. When changing the formula (for example when changing the type of oil or the concentration of active substances) we recommend a repeat test to verify that the dosing remains stable and that there is no leakage into the neck of the bottle.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and with the recommendations given for the product in the parameters section. The glass part of the packaging usually belongs in the container designated for glass, while the dropper (a combination of plastic, rubber and possibly metal) should be separated and placed in the waste fraction according to the material composition specified for the product. Before placing it in the appropriate container, it is advisable to remove the product residues as much as possible and to at least roughly rinse the packaging.
