The glass bottle with spray atomizer is a professional packaging component designed for precise and gentle dispensing of liquid formulations. It is particularly suitable for products where an even application in the form of a mist or fine droplets is required, which makes it a practical choice for cosmetic, laboratory and craft use.
Thanks to the high-quality glass, this bottle is stable, chemically resistant and suitable for a wide range of water- and oil-based preparations. The dark glass also helps to reduce light penetration to more sensitive components, thereby supporting a longer shelf life of the contents and maintaining their sensory and functional properties. The spray mechanism enables comfortable and hygienic use in everyday handling.
The standalone glass bottle is designed to be compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems available in the Handymade range – for example with screw caps, droppers, atomizers or practical applicators according to the parameters selected with the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray atomizer must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the next fill.
The bottle with spray is suitable primarily for low-viscosity liquids that can be evenly atomized – hydrolats, toners, aqueous and light alcohol solutions, fine oil mists or aromatic sprays. For thicker emulsions or oils, we always recommend carrying out a trial of the atomizer’s behaviour to verify that the dosing proceeds smoothly and without clogging.
The glass part of the packaging should first be rinsed with warm water and a mild detergent, then thoroughly rinsed with potable water and left to dry completely. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface with an alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For the atomizer, it is advisable to rinse the dip tube and the mechanism with clean water and then with a small amount of alcohol, spraying part of it so that the disinfectant solution reaches the inside of the system. Before the next use, allow all components to dry completely.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material composition stated in the product parameters. The glass bottle can generally be handed over for glass collection after being thoroughly emptied and having any product residues removed. The plastic atomizer (including the tube) should be placed in the appropriate separated waste stream according to the type of plastic stated in the parameter table with the product. Before handing it over for separated collection, it is advisable to remove as much of the original product residues from the packaging as possible.
When choosing a suitable bottle, vial or other packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the relevant category, the advanced filter is located at the top of the page and allows clear filtering according to multiple parameters – in particular according to neck type, size, colour and material. This enables you to quickly narrow down the range to packaging that meets the technical and aesthetic requirements of your product.
When testing compatibility, we recommend checking in particular the longer-term contact of the formulation with the packaging material and the functionality of the atomizer. Observe whether, over time, there are any changes in the colour, odour or consistency of the product, whether all parts of the packaging remain stable, without cracking or softening, and whether the atomizer dispenses the contents evenly without clogging or leakage around the neck area. It is advisable to carry out the test at normal storage temperature as well as under slightly increased stress (e.g. transport, more frequent handling).
