However, it is always important to follow basic hygiene principles – before each new filling, thoroughly clean the bottle and the sprayer and, depending on the nature of the contents, disinfect them with a suitable alcohol. For disinfection, we recommend using alcohol-based products, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let all parts dry completely to minimize the risk of deterioration of the new product.

The spray bottle is ideal for liquid preparations with low to medium viscosity that are applied as a fine mist or spray. In practice, these are most often facial and body waters, hydrating and refreshing mists, hair tonics, aromatherapeutic room sprays or pillow sprays. For thicker emulsions or oils, it is advisable first to test the functionality of the sprayer and, if necessary, choose another type of dispensing.

We recommend that after emptying, the bottle be rinsed with a suitable cleaning agent and hot (not boiling) water, and then rinsed several times with clean water. The sprayer is best flushed through by spraying water, or a small amount of alcohol, to remove product residues from the tube and mechanism. Before a new filling, we recommend disinfecting the internal surfaces using alcohol solutions, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let all parts air-dry at room temperature.

If you decide not to use the bottle and sprayer any longer, we recommend first completely emptying them and removing any remaining contents. The glass part of the packaging can usually be sorted into the container designated for glass, while the plastic components of the sprayer belong with plastic waste – always follow local waste sorting rules and the information on material composition given in the product parameters. By separating the individual materials, you support more efficient recycling and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
