The glass bottle with spray pump is a practical and aesthetic packaging solution for fine dispersion of cosmetic and aromatherapeutic preparations. It is particularly suitable for filling liquid products where precise dosing in the form of a mist is required, for example for toners, hydrating sprays or perfume blends. When used correctly, glass is a stable and reliable packaging material that does not disrupt the composition of the contents and supports the professional presentation of the final product.
This packaging is supplied as a glass bottle + spray pump combination, so it is ready for immediate filling and use. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil phase, etc.).

Glass is generally a very stable material and is suitable for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils. However, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test of the specific formula – checking the stability of the product’s scent, colour and viscosity in contact with the glass and the spray pump during prolonged storage, so that you can be sure the packaging is optimal for your product.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if handled correctly and basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each refilling, both the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and the impact of residues of the previous product on the quality of the new fill.
It is recommended to fill a small trial amount of the product into the bottle, check the spraying function (fineness of the mist, uniformity of the spray, return of the spring), and then monitor the packaging over several weeks. Check the sealing, whether any leakage occurs, whether the mechanism sticks, whether there are changes in the colour or odour of the product, and any discolouration or film on the inner walls of the packaging. If everything is in order after the test period, the combination can be considered suitable for regular use.
If you do not want to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can generally be sorted into the glass container after removing product residues, while the plastic or metal parts of the spray pump must be sorted according to material type, or handed over in municipal waste collection if they cannot be recycled. Before disposal, it is advisable to rinse the packaging to minimize cosmetic residues in the waste.
