Yes, the glass package can be reused when basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and aired out is the package ready for new filling. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and helps maintain the quality of the final product.

First we recommend disassembling the package – separating the glass part and the spray pump. The glass can be washed with warm water and a mild cleansing agent, thoroughly rinsed and left to dry. Afterwards it is suitable to disinfect the inside of the bottle and the parts of the mechanism that are in contact with the product with alcohol, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After complete drying and airing, the package is ready for new filling.

The spray pump is ideal for low-viscosity, liquid preparations that need to be applied in the form of a fine mist or an even spray. It is best suited for water-based solutions, hydrosols, facial and body toners, hair sprays, light disinfectant solutions or home and textile fragrances. With more viscous emulsions or oil blends, spraying may be limited, therefore we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and checking the flow rate and spray quality.

If you decide not to use the package further, we recommend recycling it according to the material type stated in the product parameters. The glass container, after being emptied and basically rinsed, is usually placed into the appropriate glass collection container. The plastic parts of the spray mechanism should be separated, and their disposal adapted to local rules for plastic sorting. By following the recommended way of recycling, you contribute to more efficient waste processing and more sustainable handling of packaging.

When changing the type of filling (for example from a disinfectant solution to a facial toner or from an aromatherapeutic spray to a home fragrance), it is important to thoroughly clean and disinfect the package before refilling. Besides mechanical washing, we recommend using an alcohol-based disinfectant, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, in order to minimise residues of the original product, fragrance or preservatives. At the same time, we recommend carrying out a trial filling and checking that the new product is fully compatible with the package and the spray pump.
