The glass bottle with a blue body and a white ribbed safety cap represents a professional packaging solution suitable for formulas where protection of the contents, clean design and secure closure are important. High-quality glass in combination with a functional cap with safety lock helps minimise the risk of unintended opening, which you will appreciate when filling sensitive cosmetic products, serums or concentrated blends. Thanks to the stable material, this bottle is also suitable for long-term storage of liquid products where the consistency and quality of the contents are essential.
The combination of the glass bottle with a ribbed safety cap is created on Handymade as a functional and tested set that provides reliable closure and convenient use for everyday dispensing of the product. The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass pharmaceutical bottle is generally also suitable for formulations containing alcohol or weaker acids, because glass is a chemically stable and inert material. However, we recommend always performing your own compatibility test in advance with the specific composition – verifying the long-term stability of the product, the behaviour of the closure and any changes in appearance or scent during storage. For very aggressive or unconventional formulations, a compatibility test is essential.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed; however, it is recommended to maintain a uniform use (for example only for cosmetic products). Before each refilling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % ethanol, denatured, plant-based. Disinfection helps minimise the risk of microbial contamination and the transfer of residues from previous formulations into the new product.
Before reusing, remove any residues of the original product, rinse the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, and rinse thoroughly. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface and the bottle thread as well as the corresponding parts of the cap using alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % ethanol, denatured, plant-based. After applying the alcohol, allow the packaging to air thoroughly and dry completely before filling it again. For sensitive formulations, we recommend testing whether any residues of cleaning agents affect the fragrance or stability of the product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. After rinsing and removing product residues, the glass body of the bottle normally belongs in the container designated for glass. The plastic safety cap is usually sorted into the container for plastics, if local recycling rules allow it. Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to empty the packaging as much as possible in order to minimise the amount of product residues in the collection system. Always adapt specific recycling instructions to local waste-sorting rules.
To choose a suitable bottle, vial or jar, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging material category. The filter allows you to sort products clearly by neck type, size, colour and material, which enables you to quickly find packaging compatible with your closures, dispensers or intended method of use. We also recommend checking the details in the product parameters and, if necessary, first ordering a smaller quantity of pieces for testing.
