Plastic bottle with flip-top cap represents a practical packaging solution for a wide range of liquid preparations where convenient dispensing and good handling during everyday use are important. Thanks to the durable plastic material and functional cap, it is suitable for cosmetic formulations, hygiene products and other mixtures that require precise and controlled extrusion of the contents.
The design of the bottle allows comfortable use while showering, during body care or when blending your own cosmetic recipes. The flip-top cap reduces the risk of accidental leakage and at the same time makes it easier to open and close quickly with one hand, which you will appreciate in the bathroom, in the salon and when travelling.
This plastic bottle is among the packages that are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected parameters. Depending on the specific product, you can choose, for example, screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators, which change the way the final product is dispensed and the comfort of use.
Combinations of containers and caps created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to verify reliability during long-term storage as well as active use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
When planning the use of the packaging, take into account the properties of the plastic used so that it is in line with the character of your formulation (viscosity, type of solvents, nature of active substances). The correct combination of packaging and formulation helps extend the stability of the product and preserve its properties throughout the entire period of use.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if correct hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with products such as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the properties of your final product.
Plastic packaging of this type is not designed to be exposed to high temperatures, therefore we do not recommend washing it in a dishwasher or boiling it. When exposed to hot water or steam, the packaging may deform, the sealing of the cap may deteriorate or the mechanical properties of the plastic may change. For cleaning, choose gentle hand washing with lukewarm water and a suitable detergent, then rinse the packaging thoroughly and disinfect it with an alcohol-based preparation before further use.
Always store the filled bottle tightly closed, in a dry and clean environment, protected from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Long-term exposure to elevated temperatures can affect the properties of the plastic as well as the stability of your formulation. For products intended for the bathroom, we recommend not placing the packaging directly next to heat sources and not leaving it submerged in water, in order to minimise the risk of contamination around the cap and penetration of moisture.
If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend primarily recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. Adapt the recycling procedure to the material information listed in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website. Before placing it in the appropriate collection container, empty the packaging, rinse out any product residues and, where possible, separate the individual parts (for example the cap) to facilitate subsequent processing in the recycling process.
When selecting suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. With the help of the filter, you can clearly sort packaging according to several criteria – specifically by neck type, size, colour and material. In this way, you can quickly display only those bottles, dropper bottles, jars or pots that match your technical requirements as well as your visual concept of the final product.
For thicker emulsions and oil blends, it is important to check whether the viscosity of the product allows comfortable extrusion through the opening in the cap. We recommend first filling a smaller trial amount, testing the flowability at normal temperature and the method of dispensing. At the same time, check whether the chosen recipe does not react with the plastic material (for example with a high proportion of solvents or essential oils). Such a test will help you to optimise the consistency as well as the choice of the specific type of packaging.
