FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Is this plastic bottle suitable for repeated use?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let the packaging dry completely at room temperature and only then refill it.

How should I properly clean and disinfect this bottle before the next filling?

First, rinse the packaging mechanically with warm water and a mild cleaning agent to remove residues of the original product. Then we recommend rinsing the bottle and the closure with clean water and drying them. For disinfection, use a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based, with which you thoroughly rinse or spray the inside and the surface of the packaging. After disinfection, let the packaging air-dry so that the alcohol completely evaporates, and only then proceed to the new filling.

Is the plastic material of this bottle resistant to higher temperatures or boiling?

Plastic packaging of this type is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures, such as boiling in boiling water, sterilisation at very high temperatures or washing in a dishwasher. Under such stress, the material may deform, the sealing may deteriorate or the service life of the packaging may be shortened. For cleaning, therefore, use only lukewarm water, a suitable cleaning agent and alcohol-based disinfection, and avoid long-term exposure to heat.

How should I properly recycle the bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it responsibly in accordance with the data given with the product in the parameter table (type of material and corresponding recycling symbol). Before handing it over to sorted collection, empty the packaging, remove any remaining contents and rinse it. Then place it in the container intended for the respective type of plastic according to the locally applicable waste sorting rules. In this way, you support the reuse of the material and reduce the amount of waste.
