The plastic bottle with flip-top cap represents a practical and hygienic packaging for liquid and semi-liquid products where convenient dispensing and limited contact of the contents with the environment are important. Thanks to the design of the cap, it is suitable for everyday use, travel, as well as for filling products for sale or for the distribution of smaller volumes. The durable plastic material provides good protection of the contents and stability during normal use in the bathroom, kitchen and professional facilities.
The transparent design makes it easier to check the amount of product and to visually monitor the colour or clarity of the contents. The bottle is designed to sit comfortably in the hand, to allow clean dispensing and to minimise the risk of accidental leakage during transport. It is suitable as a universal packaging for cosmetics, craft products and home-made formulations, where the combination of aesthetics, functionality and reliable closure is important.
This bottle is a standalone packaging and is compatible with various types of caps and dispensing systems available in the Handymade.sk range according to the selected neck parameters. You can combine it, for example, with screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators and thus adapt the dispensing method to the character of your formulation.
The combinations of packaging and caps that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific product during short-term and long-term storage.
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The bottle can be used repeatedly provided that you follow basic hygiene principles and the material is compatible with your formulation. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using suitable alcohol-based disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, we recommend the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After cleaning, allow the packaging to dry completely in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and dilution of the product by residual water.
First, rinse the packaging mechanically with warm water and a suitable mild detergent to remove residues of the original product. Then we recommend rinsing the bottle with drinking water and, after drying, disinfecting it with an alcohol-based preparation, for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% plant-based ethanol. Spread the disinfectant evenly over the inner surface, or use rinsing, and allow it to evaporate. Make sure that before refilling, the packaging is completely dry and free from residues of cleaning or disinfecting agents.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted waste according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameter table. Information about the material (for example, the plastic code and recycling symbol) can be found directly in the “Material” parameter on the product page. Before placing it in the collection container, rinse the packaging to remove product residues and, where possible, separate the bottle from the cap if they are made from different types of plastic. This will make processing in the recycling process easier and reduce environmental burden.
To choose a suitable bottle, pill bottle or jar, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category (for example plastic bottles, cosmetic packaging, etc.), you will find the advanced filter at the top of the page. In it you can filter according to several parameters – in particular according to the type and size of the neck, the overall size of the packaging, colour and material. By combining these criteria, you will quickly narrow down the selection to packaging that matches your formulation and intended dispensing method.
Before filling, it is important to verify the compatibility of your formulation with the plastic used and to carry out a trial filling in a smaller quantity. Avoid contact of hot masses with the packaging so that the walls or the cap do not soften or deform. After filling, close the bottle properly and store it in a dry place, at a stable room temperature and away from direct sunlight or sources of heat. Such conditions support the preservation of the physical properties of the plastic as well as the stability of the product itself throughout the entire declared shelf life.
