The glass medicine bottle with dropper and plastic cap is a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing of liquid preparations. The combination of high-quality glass and a functional dropper allows comfortable and controlled dispensing of the contents, which is appreciated by manufacturers of cosmetics, aromatherapeutic blends and homemade natural care products. The dark glass of the packaging naturally helps protect more sensitive components from light, thereby supporting the stability and shelf life of the final product.
This glass bottle is sold as a standalone pack and is compatible with various types of caps and dispensing options according to the selected parameters in the category – for example screw caps, droppers, spray tops or practical applicators. Combinations of packs and caps created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to ensure optimal performance in the particular formula.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass medicine bottle is generally suitable for formulations containing essential oils, as glass exhibits good chemical resistance. For each new product, however, we recommend performing your own stability test – checking the behaviour of the blend over time, the sealing of the dropper and any changes in scent or colour. Testing is particularly important with a high proportion of essential oils or when using less common raw materials.
The packaging can be reused as long as basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the cap must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant ethanol. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable reactions between residues of the original product and the new formulation. When switching between very different types of products (e.g. highly perfumed oils and a gentle facial serum) we recommend reserving a bottle for one product line in order to avoid transfer of scents.
Before refilling, first mechanically remove any residues of the original product, then rinse the packaging with a suitable cleaning agent and clean water. After washing, it is important to use disinfection – apply a suitable alcohol to the glass and plastic parts, for example IPA 99% or 96% denatured ethanol. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature. Only then refill the bottle to minimise the risk of dilution or contamination of the new product.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend that after emptying and basic cleaning you recycle it correctly according to the material types stated in the product parameters. The glass part of the packaging must be separated from the plastic cap with dropper. Glass is normally sorted into the glass container, plastic parts into the plastics container (according to local waste sorting rules). Always follow the local collection system and the recommendations given for the specific product on Handymade so that recycling is as effective and environmentally friendly as possible.
To select the right packaging, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the chosen packaging material category. In the advanced filter you can clearly select the neck type, size, colour and material of the packaging. This allows you to quickly narrow the offer down to bottles, jars or pots that meet the technical requirements of your product and to find compatible caps, droppers or dispensers more easily.
