Glass bottle – pharma bottle with plastic spray pump is a practical packaging for precise dosing of liquid preparations in the form of a fine spray. Thanks to the reliable spray pump, it is suitable for filling products where uniform application to the skin, hair, mucous membranes or the surface of objects is important. The durable glass provides a stable environment for the contents and helps preserve the properties of sensitive formulations throughout the entire period of use.
The packaging is ideal for filling cosmetic and hygiene preparations where comfortable and hygienic dosing without contact with the contents is required. The combination of a glass pharma bottle and a functional plastic spray pump makes it possible to create professional finished products in both small and larger batches – from home formulations up to small-scale production.
This product is a combination of a glass pharma bottle and plastic spray pump, designed to ensure functional and reliable dosing of the contents. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before implementation in final production, we recommend verifying the behaviour of the specific formula in contact with the glass and with the plastic parts of the spray pump – especially with an increased proportion of alcohols, acids, bases or a high content of essential oils. With correct handling and storage, the packaging is also suitable for longer-term use.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend separating it into the glass part and plastic components and recycling it according to local waste sorting rules, in accordance with the material indicated in the product parameters.
Before first filling, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the bottle, washing the glass part with a suitable cleaning agent and then rinsing with drinking water. After drying, the internal surfaces need to be disinfected – ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After the alcohol has evaporated, the packaging can be filled with the prepared product and the spray pump can be fitted.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly when hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is advisable to mechanically clean the bottle and the plastic spray pump as thoroughly as possible, rinse them and then disinfect them. For disinfecting the internal surfaces and parts that come into contact with the preparation, we recommend using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Allow the disinfectant solution to act and then let it completely evaporate before refilling.
Spray pumps are most reliable with low-viscosity formulations based on water or alcohol. For more viscous liquids, we recommend reducing the viscosity by adjusting the formula, or testing different ratios of solvents to achieve smooth pump operation. At first use, the mechanism needs to be pressed several times so that the system primes and starts dispensing an even mist. We always recommend testing the dosing in advance on a small trial batch.
Before recycling, we recommend completely emptying the packaging and removing any product residues. It is advisable to separate the glass bottle from the plastic spray pump, as these are different materials sorted according to local rules. The way it is assigned to a specific collection stream is based on the material indicated in the product parameter table on the Handymade website. With proper sorting, recycling can reduce environmental burden and enable reuse of the materials.

In the advanced filter you can conveniently combine several parameters at once – in particular the type and diameter of the neck, the size, colour and material of the packaging. In this way you can quickly narrow the offer down to those bottles, pharma bottles, jars or spray pumps that match your formula and the required dosing method. For non-standard formulations, it is always advisable to first order a smaller quantity to test compatibility.
