Yes, the glass bottle is suitable for repeated use if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and extends the safe usability of the final product.
Before the first filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent, thoroughly rinsing with potable water) and then disinfecting it with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry naturally in a clean, dust-free place to prevent dilution or contamination of the final formulation.
The Boston glass pharmaceutical bottle is particularly suitable for products that are applied in smaller doses – for example facial serums, concentrated oils, herbal and aromatherapeutic blends or tinctures for external use. In combination with a dropper cap or pipette, it allows precise drop-by-drop dosing, while in combination with a classic screw cap it can also be used for storing larger volumes of working solutions or base concentrates.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, it is recommended to recycle it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The glass part can usually be placed in the container designated for glass once product residues have been removed as much as possible. The closure must be sorted according to the material specified in the product parameters (for example plastic or metal), and it is always advisable to separate the glass bottle and the closure.
