Is the dark brown glass jar also suitable for natural and sensitive cosmetics?

Dark brown glass is suitable for natural and sensitive formulations because it is stable, does not react with the contents and limits light penetration to sensitive components. Thanks to this, it helps maintain the stability of the scent, colour and consistency of natural balms, ointments and other products. When creating a formulation, however, we always recommend carrying out your own stability test under real storage conditions.

Can I reuse this glass jar for different products?

The jar can be reused provided hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol in cleaning grade or ethanol denatured of plant origin. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the interior of the container has completely dried is the jar ready for refilling.

How should I properly clean the glass jar before first use and between individual fillings?

Before first use and during repeated filling, we recommend first mechanically cleaning the jar of any dust, then washing it in a suitable cleaning solution and rinsing it well. After washing, allow the jar to dry thoroughly and disinfect the inner space with alcohol, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Allow the disinfectant to evaporate and only then fill the container in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and deterioration of the product.

How can I dispose of or recycle the glass jar in an eco-friendly way if I no longer wish to use it?

If you decide not to use the jar any further, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part is usually suitable, after cleaning, for disposal in a container intended for waste glass, while the plastic lid belongs in the relevant separated waste stream according to the type of plastic. Before handing it over for recycling, it is advisable to remove product residues from the packaging to facilitate subsequent processing in the recycling process.
