Before the first filling, always clean the packaging mechanically (rinsing with suitable water or a cleaning solution according to the type of formulation) and then disinfect it thoroughly. We recommend using disinfectant alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in a quality intended for cleaning packaging. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and the cap to dry completely so that no residual moisture remains in the packaging.

The glass medicine bottle is suitable for repeated use if hygiene principles are observed. However, before each new filling it is necessary to clean and disinfect the packaging thoroughly to minimize the risk of microbial contamination or residues of the previous formulation. For disinfection we recommend using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. When reusing, also monitor the condition of the cap with tamper-evident ring – if you notice signs of wear or impaired sealing, consider replacing the closure.

The ribbed cap with tamper-evident ring is designed so that at the first opening the safety ring is broken, which signals that the packaging has been opened. When closing, it is important to tighten the closure smoothly, without excessive force, so as not to damage the thread or the internal seal. Regularly check whether the cap screws on evenly and without skipping – otherwise the tightness may be compromised. When handling the medicine bottle, it is recommended to keep it in an upright position, especially when transporting and storing concentrated liquids.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material specified in the product parameters. After emptying and a basic rinse, throw the glass bottle into the container designated for separated glass collection. Separate the plastic or combined closure and place it in the appropriate container according to the type of plastic specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Before recycling, make sure that no larger residues of aggressive or concentrated substances remain in the packaging; in case of doubt, dispose of them in accordance with local regulations for chemicals or cosmetic preparations.
