Dark brown glass jar with white lid is a practical and aesthetic packaging suitable for filling various cosmetic preparations and other professional or home formulations. Thanks to the quality glass, it provides a stable environment for the contents and helps maintain their properties throughout the entire period of use. The dark brown glass also naturally contributes to limiting the penetration of light to the sensitive components of the formulas, which is an advantage for products prone to degradation.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to ensure optimal user comfort as well as long-term product stability.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
Dark brown glass helps limit the action of light on the contents of the jar, which can be an advantage for products containing light-sensitive components, such as certain oils or active substances. With every new formulation, however, we recommend performing your own stability and compatibility tests to verify the long-term behaviour of the specific product in this type of packaging.
The jar can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the packaging and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the consistency or scent of the product.
First mechanically remove the residues of the original product, then wash the jar in warm water with a suitable cleaning agent and rinse well. After complete drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface with an alcohol-based preparation (e.g. IPA or ethanol from the Handymade.sk range) and allowing it to evaporate. In the case of highly pigmented or aromatic blends, it is advisable to devote more time to cleaning to remove all residues that could affect the new product.
To select a suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Thanks to the filters, you can quickly narrow down the range according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or material. This way you will only see those bottles, jars and other containers that meet the requirements of your specific product and the planned dosing method.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it after emptying and basic cleaning according to the rules given for the product in the parameter table. The glass part can generally be sorted into the container intended for glass, while the lid and any seals should be sorted according to their material. By following the recommended sorting, you support efficient waste processing and further use of the materials.
