The plastic bottle with disc top closure is a practical and professional packaging solution suitable for various types of liquid and lightly gel-based formulations. Thanks to its well-designed shape, it sits comfortably in the hand, is easy to fill, and convenient to use in daily routines. The dark shade of the packaging helps protect more sensitive ingredients against undesirable light exposure and contributes to the stability of the composition during storage.
The disc top closure allows for comfortable and controlled dispensing without the need to open the bottle completely, thereby reducing the risk of contamination of the contents. The packaging is suitable for small batches, homemade and artisan products, as well as for refill packs, where the combination of aesthetics, functionality and reliable sealing is important.
This bottle is a standalone packaging component that is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing options available in the Handymade range according to the selected neck parameters. It can be combined, for example, with screw caps, dropper inserts, spray pumps or practical applicators for more precise dosing.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the seal integrity, the dispensing method, as well as the behaviour of the packaging and closure in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil or water base, etc.).
If you plan long-term storage or more frequent handling of the product, it is recommended to regularly check the condition of the closure and the thread in order to ensure maximum protection of the contents throughout the entire period of use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
When designing your own product, we recommend basing your work on the data provided (material type, compatibility with the contents, temperature limits and recommended areas of use) and then testing the real behaviour of the selected formulation in the specific packaging in a smaller trial batch.
The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed, especially in small-scale production or when refilling the same type of product. However, before each refilling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable disinfectant, for example with isopropyl alcohol or with denatured ethanol of plant origin. Only after the inner surface has completely dried is the packaging ready to be refilled.
We recommend first rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water, optionally with a mild, non-aggressive cleansing agent, to remove any residues of the previous fill. It is then advisable to rinse the packaging again with clean water, allow it to drain and dry completely. From a hygiene standpoint, it is important before refilling to disinfect the inner and outer surfaces of the packaging as well as the closure. Do not use excessively hot water and do not boil – this could lead to damage or deformation of the plastic.
The plastic packaging is not intended for washing in a dishwasher or for sterilisation by boiling. Exposure to high temperatures may lead to undesirable deformation of the bottle or affect the functionality of the closure. From a hygiene perspective, it is more appropriate to choose gentle washing with lukewarm water followed by disinfection with a suitable alcohol-based solution in accordance with the recommendations of the disinfectant manufacturer.
If you decide not to use the packaging any longer, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material type specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Before placing it in sorted waste, remove any remaining product from the bottle and, if possible, separate the closure from the bottle body. Then place both components into the appropriate collection container according to local plastic recycling rules. Proper sorting helps reduce the amount of waste and enables more efficient reprocessing of the material.
When choosing suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the selected category of packaging material. Using the filter, you can clearly narrow down the range according to neck type, size, colour and material so that you easily find the bottle, dropper bottle, jar or other container that is optimal for the specific product. Thanks to the filters, it is possible to quickly compare several alternatives and choose a solution that best matches the character of your formulation and the desired appearance of the final product.
A disc top closure is most practical for liquid to mildly viscous products where controlled and clean dispensing is important. It is ideal for facial and body toners, light lotions, hair tonics, serums or oil blends that you want to apply in smaller amounts. It allows comfortable one-handed use and helps to minimise contact between fingers and the bottle opening, which is particularly advantageous for products with increased hygiene requirements.
