The plastic medicine bottle with a practical flip-top cap represents a reliable packaging solution for dispensing various liquid and powder preparations where clean and precise application is important. Thanks to its practical design, the packaging can keep the contents protected from contamination while at the same time allowing comfortable one-handed opening, which is ideal for everyday use in cosmetics as well as in home production.
The dark version of the bottle helps to limit light exposure to more sensitive formulations, which contributes to longer stability and quality of the contents. The packaging is suitable for filling liquid solutions, serums, solutions with active ingredients, or lighter gel and emulsion preparations that require simple but controlled dispensing directly from the bottle.
This packaging is supplied as a functional combination of medicine bottle and flip-top cap, which means it is ready for immediate use without the need to look for a separate lid or dispensing component. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing, and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The medicine bottle with flip-top cap is designed primarily for thin to medium-viscosity liquids such as solutions, toners, light emulsions, or serums. For thicker gels or cream formulations, we always recommend performing a filling and dosing test in order to verify whether the product flows out of the packaging smoothly and without excessive pressure on the bottle walls. If the consistency is too thick, packaging with a pump or a wider dispensing opening may be more suitable.
The packaging can be reused provided that strict hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed, and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based disinfectant solution, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature so that no residues of the cleaning agent or moisture remain in the packaging, as these could affect the stability of the new formulation.
For cleaning, we recommend lukewarm water with a mild detergent and a soft brush or bottle brush, which will help remove product residues from the inner walls and from around the neck. Avoid aggressive solvents, strong alkalis, or abrasive agents that could dull or damage the plastic surface. After washing, rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water, allow it to drain, and only then apply disinfection. It is not suitable to wash the packaging in a dishwasher or expose it to very high temperatures, in order to prevent deformation or weakening of the material.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the type of plastic specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Before placing it in the recycling stream, remove product residues, rinse the bottle, and separate the individual parts (bottle body and cap) if they are made of different plastics. Then dispose of the packaging in the appropriate container in line with local waste sorting rules. In this way, you support the reprocessing of the material and reduce the amount of waste in municipal collection.
On Handymade you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the selected packaging category. With it, you can specifically choose packaging according to parameters such as neck type and diameter, size, colour, or material. By filtering, you narrow down the offer only to those bottles, medicine bottles, jars, or pots that correspond to the desired packaging style and the technical requirements of your formulation, which significantly facilitates and speeds up the selection of suitable packaging.
