The plastic bottle with spray mechanism is a practical packaging for liquid preparations, suitable for gentle and even atomization of products. Thanks to the plastic material used, the bottle is lightweight, resistant to normal handling and suitable for filling various cosmetic and auxiliary solutions where convenient dosing in the form of a mist or fine spray is important. The sprayer enables targeted application to the skin, hair, surfaces or textiles, depending on the nature of the formulation being filled.
Bottles sold as standalone packaging are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters in the product detail. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, presence of alcohol, oils, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
To ensure smooth operation of the sprayer, we recommend filling the bottle slowly and without vigorous foaming, ideally using a funnel. After filling, leave sufficient space between the product level and the bottle neck for the sprayer thread, so that overfilling does not occur. After screwing on the sprayer, squeeze the bottle several times so that the system primes and creates a stable spray pattern. In the case of more viscous solutions, it is advisable to make a test spray and, if necessary, adjust the formulation (for example dilute a high proportion of glycerin or the oil phase).
The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation (for example with isopropyl alcohol or with denatured plant ethanol). After treatment, allow the packaging to dry completely in a clean and protected place. When changing the product type (for example from a cleaning solution to a cosmetic spray), always check that there are no residues of the previous formulation left in the packaging that could impair the new product.
During long-term use, the sprayer nozzle may become clogged with product residues, especially with preparations containing oils, floral macerates or fine particles. In such a case, it is advisable to unscrew the sprayer and rinse the dip tube and nozzle with lukewarm water and subsequently with clear alcohol. After rinsing, allow all parts to dry and screw them back onto the bottle. It is also recommended to avoid very thick emulsions and blends containing undissolved particles, which can mechanically block the system.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle and sprayer, we recommend emptying them as much as possible and disposing of any remaining product according to the nature of the substance used (for example according to local recommendations for cosmetic or cleaning preparations). The packaging itself should then be sorted according to the material type indicated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website. This usually means placing the plastic components into the appropriate container for plastic waste according to local sorting rules. Before sorting, it is advisable to at least roughly rinse the packaging so that as little product residue as possible enters the sorted waste.
To make it easier to find suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. Using the filter, you can sort products by key parameters – for example by neck type, size, colour or material. By combining these criteria, you can quickly narrow down the selection to bottles, jars or vials that best match your formulation and the intended dosing method.
