Medical-type glass bottle is a professional packaging, ideal for precise dosing and safe storage of various liquid formulations. In combination with a practical dispenser, it creates a reliable set for cosmetic, technical and craft products where controlled application and protection of the contents against external influences are important. The smooth surface of the bottle allows for simple and aesthetic labelling, which also makes it suitable for branded and design series.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). In this way you will ensure optimal user comfort even for specific recipes with different viscosity or content of active substances.

Yes, the glass packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based disinfectant, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. After drying, you can refill the bottle with your own formulation.
First, remove residues of the original product mechanically by rinsing with warm water and a mild detergent. After thoroughly rinsing with clean water, allow the glass to drain. We then recommend rinsing or spraying the inner surface with an alcohol-based disinfectant (e.g. IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %), allowing it to air out and to dry completely. Only then is the bottle suitable for refilling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. After emptying and basic cleaning, it is advisable to place the glass bottle in the container designated for glass. Dispose of the dosing part or closure according to the material (most commonly in the appropriate plastic waste). By following the recommended recycling rules, you support sustainable handling of packaging.
The medical-type glass bottle with a dosing element is suitable primarily for low- to medium-viscosity liquids where controlled application in a small amount is important. For very thick creamy formulations or balms, wider jars and pots are more practical. For atypical viscosities, we always recommend testing the dosing on a small trial batch.
