Glass bottle – medicine bottle with safety cap represents a professional solution for packaging liquid and loose (powdered) formulations in cosmetics, pharmaceutical preparations and food supplements. Thanks to its solid glass wall, precise closure and the safety system of the cap, the packaging is suitable for formulations where controlled handling, protection of the contents and reliable storage are important. Glass is a stable, inert material which, when used correctly, helps to preserve the quality and sensory properties of the filled product.
Glass medicine bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators), depending on the parameters selected for the specific product. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – focusing on sealing, dosing, and the behaviour of the packaging and closure in contact with the specific formulation, especially when using a high proportion of alcohol, essential oils or acidic and alkaline components.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend disposing of it via separate collection according to the material indicated in the product parameters. It is advisable to empty the glass bottle beforehand, remove any remaining contents and then place it in the appropriate container for sorted waste in accordance with local waste collection rules.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly, but it is always necessary to observe basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle, checking the integrity of the glass and the cap, and then disinfecting it. For disinfecting the packaging, it is appropriate to use, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you will find in the offer as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let the packaging dry completely and only then fill it again.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate to recycle it according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters. The glass medicine bottle must first be emptied, as many product residues as possible must be removed and, if possible, the cap should be separated from the glass part. Then hand the glass over to a container intended for sorted glass collection, and discard plastic or combined closures according to local waste-sorting rules. In this way, you support responsible recycling and minimise the amount of mixed waste.
Glass is generally a stable and preferred material for formulations containing alcohol and essential oils, so this medicine bottle is suitable for many tinctures, aromatic blends or intensive cosmetic serums. Nevertheless, we recommend performing your own trial compatibility test before the final filling – fill a small amount of product, observe the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the formulation and verify the sealing of the safety cap, especially if it contains a high proportion of volatile substances or more aggressive components.
When storing, we recommend placing the bottle in a dry, stable and cooler place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. It is always important to close it carefully with the safety cap, in order to minimise any possible leakage of volatile substances and reduce the risk of contamination. Do not overfill the packaging, leave sufficient space for possible thermal expansion of the contents and, when handling, avoid impacts or falls that could damage the glass.
