Glass bottle – medicine bottle is a universal packaging material suitable for precise dispensing and safe storage of various liquid and partially viscous preparations. Thanks to high-quality glass and a child-resistant/safety closure, it is ideal for products where protection of the contents, stability and easy handling are important in both home and professional production.
The glass medicine bottle is particularly suitable for liquid cosmetic blends, serums, tinctures and extracts that require a clean, chemically stable container without the release of undesirable substances. The smooth glass surface makes cleaning, marking and labelling easier, which you will appreciate for both smaller and larger product batches.
Yes, the glass bottle can be reused if hygienic principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the container, rinsing it and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after it has completely dried is the container ready for refilling, which minimises the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the product’s shelf life.
If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it according to the material specified in the product parameters. As standard, the glass bottle can be placed in a glass recycling container after it has been emptied, rinsed and any product residues removed. The closure is usually made of a different material than glass, so it needs to be sorted separately according to local recycling rules (for example into a plastic or metal container, if this corresponds to the composition of the closure). By following these steps, you support effective waste sorting and the reuse of materials.
Glass is generally a very stable and chemically resistant material, so it is also suitable for formulations with a higher content of alcohol, preservatives or essential oils. Before the final launch of the product, we recommend carrying out your own stability test – fill the container with the actual formulation, monitor the behaviour of the contents over time and verify the functionality of the selected closure. In this way, you will gain assurance that even after longer storage the packaging will preserve the quality and properties of your product.
When filling thicker or oil-based formulations, we recommend working at a stable room temperature and avoiding sudden heating of the contents and of the glass itself. Use a suitable funnel or filling device to minimise contamination of the neck, which will make subsequent handling and sealing of the closure easier. After filling, always check that the closure sits correctly, does not leak and that the dosing (with a dropper or spray pump) is smooth and without clogging. This will ensure comfortable use even with everyday application of the product.
To make selection easier, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. With this filter you can quickly narrow down the range according to the parameters that are key for you – for example neck type, size, colour or packaging material. In this way, you can easily find a suitable combination of bottle, closure and any dispenser directly tailored to your specific product and type of formulation.
