Glass is generally a very stable packaging material and is also suitable for formulations containing essential oils or aromatic blends. When working with high concentrations of active substances, we always recommend performing your own stability test to verify the behaviour of the specific formula over time and under the chosen storage conditions.

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the corresponding closures to prevent contamination of the new product. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in our range as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After applying the disinfectant, let the packaging dry thoroughly and only then refill it.

When cleaning the packaging, first remove any residue of the original product, then thoroughly rinse the bottle with warm water and a suitable detergent and rinse it repeatedly with clean water. After washing, it is advisable to apply an alcohol-based disinfectant (for example products available in the alcohols category) and let the packaging air-dry. Especially for products intended for face and body, it is important that no residues of the previous formulation or cleaning agents remain in the container.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to local waste-sorting rules. In most systems, the glass bottle can be sorted into the container designated for glass, while the plastic closure and the internal parts of the dropper belong in plastic collection (unless local rules stipulate otherwise). Before disposal, rinse the bottle to remove product residues. We recommend adapting the specific method of recycling to the information given for the product in the parameter table and to local recommendations for waste sorting.
