Dark brown glass jar 100 ml is a universal cosmetic packaging suitable for creams, butters, balms, gels, as well as loose and paste‑like products where the stability and protection of the formulation are important. The dark brown glass naturally helps protect sensitive components from the effects of light, thereby contributing to preserving the quality, colour and fragrance of the final product. Thanks to its high‑quality workmanship, it is a professional packaging suitable both for home production and for small natural cosmetics brands.
The glass jar is intended to be combined with compatible closures according to the selected parameters in the product detail. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (tightness, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that you can be sure the packaging works reliably with your particular product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass jar can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container and closure must be thoroughly washed, cleaned and then disinfected with alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and help to maintain the stability of your cosmetic products.
The jar is ideal for richer and semi‑solid formulations such as face and body creams, butters, balms, ointments, scrubs or clay masks. Thanks to the dark glass, it is also suitable for products containing natural oils, butters and active substances that are sensitive to light and require a more stable packaging.
After emptying, we recommend first mechanically cleaning the jar from product residues, then washing it with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly and allowing it to dry. Before refilling, the packaging and closure must be disinfected with alcohol – products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based are particularly practical. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated can you refill the container.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, it is appropriate to recycle it according to the instructions given in the parameter table for the product. The glass container can usually be placed, after cleaning off product residues, into the container designated for glass, while the closure (depending on its material) belongs in the appropriate collection container for plastic or metal. Always remove excess product residues before sorting so that recycling is as efficient as possible.
When choosing suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging categories. It is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category and allows you to filter the packaging by several parameters – in particular by neck type, size, colour and material. This will enable you to quickly find jars, bottles or pots that best match your formulation and intended dosing method.
Yes, thanks to its design and high‑quality glass, the jar is also suitable for smaller product batches such as testers, gift sets or limited editions. It has a representative look, keeps its shape well and, together with a suitable closure, forms a practical and aesthetic packaging for hand‑made and artisan cosmetics.
