Before each new filling, it is important to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes to the final product.

How should I properly clean the jar before refilling it?

First, mechanically remove any residues of the original contents and wash the jar with warm water and a suitable mild detergent. After rinsing with clean water, allow the glass to dry and then disinfect the inner space and the closure with an alcohol-based product, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %. Allow the disinfectant solution to act briefly and dry the packaging thoroughly before filling.

How should I correctly recycle the glass jar and the closure if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the jar any longer, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. The glass part can generally be sorted into the container intended for glass after being cleaned of product residues. The closure is usually made of plastic or a combination of materials – therefore follow the material labelling in the parameter table and the local waste-sorting rules. Before disposal, it is advisable to separate the jar and the cap so that proper recycling of the individual components can take place.
