Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly. Before each new filling, however, the bottle and spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. We recommend rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent and then disinfecting with alcohol, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol. Only once it is completely dry is the bottle ready for reuse.
The bottle with spray pump is ideal for all liquid formulations that are applied in the form of a fine mist – for example facial and body sprays, floral waters, hair mist products, aromatherapeutic sprays for rooms or textiles and smaller disinfecting or hygiene solutions. The fine mist helps to distribute the product evenly without running and without overburdening the skin.
The spray pump is a sensitive dosing component, so it is important to prevent its channels from becoming clogged by mixtures that are too dense or highly viscous. For repeated use, we recommend, after emptying the container, flushing the internal mechanism of the spray pump with clean water or a suitable solvent for the product used. If the spray weakens or becomes blocked over time, thorough flushing and removal of product residues from the nozzle will help.
Before recycling, it is advisable to empty the packaging completely and remove any product residues. The glass part of the bottle is usually sorted into the container designated for glass, while the plastic spray pump and upper part go, according to local sorting rules, into the appropriate container for plastics or into mixed waste if no distinction is made in the given municipality.
