Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use products available on Handymade, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol 1 l or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based 1 l. We recommend repeated use only within the same or a similar group of formulations in order to minimize the risk of undesired interactions.

For plastic packaging of this type, it is not recommended to expose the material to high temperatures, because the packaging may become deformed or its properties may deteriorate. It is not suitable to wash the bottle in a dishwasher or to boil it. For cleaning, use lukewarm water, a mild cleaning agent and then disinfection with a suitable alcohol, making sure it is thoroughly dried before the next filling.

Before filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the packaging (rinsing and removing visible impurities) and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol. Products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol 1 l and ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based 1 l are practical for this purpose. Spread the disinfectant solution over the inner surface, let it act, pour out the excess and let the bottle dry completely at room temperature in a clean, dust-free environment. Only then is the bottle ready for filling.

If you decide not to use the packaging repeatedly, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material designation indicated in the parameter table at the product on Handymade. Before handing it over for separate collection, empty the packaging as much as possible and, if necessary, quickly rinse it so that no product residues remain inside. Then throw it into the container intended for the given type of plastic according to the local waste sorting system. In this way, you support effective recovery of the material and reduction of the amount of non-recycled waste.
