Plastic bottle with disc-top closure represents a practical solution for packaging and dispensing various liquid cosmetic preparations. Thanks to its practical shape and the design of the closure, it allows convenient and controlled squeezing of the contents without unnecessary spillage, which is ideal for products used in the bathroom as well as when travelling. This cosmetic packaging is suitable for packaging liquid and lightly viscous products that require repeated opening and closing while maintaining the cleanliness of the dispenser. This plastic bottle is supplied as a separate packaging which is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected parameters in the offer. Depending on the specific product, it can be combined with screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators to achieve the ideal dosing for your formulation.
The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. For all your own combinations, however, we recommend always performing a compatibility test of your own – verifying sealing, correct dosing, comfort in use and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the particular formulation (viscosity, content of oils, active substances or preservatives).
When selecting a suitable closure or dispenser, take into account the character of the product (viscosity, method of use, required amount per application) in order to achieve the most pleasant user experience possible and at the same time minimise waste of the contents.

To select a suitable bottle or other packaging material, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Thanks to the filter, you can clearly sort products according to several parameters – especially according to the type and size of the neck, the overall size of the packaging, the colour and the material used. In this way, you quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that is most suitable for your specific formulation and intended method of use.
You can use the bottle repeatedly if you follow basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it, ideally using suitable disinfectant preparations such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging and closure have dried thoroughly is it suitable to fill them again, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and deterioration of the product.
When cleaning the plastic bottle, we recommend using lukewarm water and mild cleaning agents that do not contain aggressive solvents or abrasive components. After washing, it is advisable to rinse the packaging several times with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. Afterwards, the bottle can be disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product and left to dry completely at room temperature, turned upside down. When cleaning the dispensing closure, it is important to pay attention also to the inner part of the mechanism in order to prevent clogging or a decrease in functionality during further use.
When filling the bottle, we recommend using a funnel or a suitable filling system to avoid contamination of the neck and thread, which could negatively affect the sealing of the closure. Do not fill the bottle up to the brim – leave an adequate space for air so that the disc-top mechanism works smoothly and without splashing. After filling, check the cleanliness of the rim of the neck, wipe away any product residues with a clean, lint-free cloth and only then tighten the closure firmly. Before putting the product into use, it is advisable to test the dosing several times to verify that the mechanism works evenly and without leakage of the contents.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, after emptying and basic cleaning we recommend handing it over for recycling according to the type of plastic stated in the product parameters. In the parameter table for the product on the website, you will find information about the material used and the recommended recycling method. According to this, the packaging can be assigned to the appropriate separate collection (for example, a plastic container) or handed over at a recycling yard. Before handing it over for recycling, it is advisable to separate the bottle from the closure and make sure that no larger residues of cosmetic product remain in the packaging that could burden the recycling process.
