This bottle is supplied as a functional airless packaging with an integrated dispensing mechanism, which ensures comfortable and hygienic use without drawing air back into the container.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the particular formulation).
Before the final filling, we recommend testing the behaviour of the specific formula in the packaging – viscosity during dosing, stability of appearance and consistency, as well as longer-term storage.

Is it possible to use the airless bottle repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed, especially when producing your own cosmetics in smaller batches. However, before each new filling it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly and disinfect it with a suitable agent – for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and aired out is the bottle ready for refilling.

How should I properly clean the airless bottle before first use?

Before the first filling we recommend mechanically rinsing the packaging with clean water, if necessary with a mild non-aggressive cleaning agent, and then disinfecting it with alcohol. It is suitable to use for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After applying the alcohol, let all parts dry thoroughly at room temperature so that no residues of cleaning substances remain in the packaging which could affect the stability or fragrance of your product.

How can I dispose of or recycle the airless bottle in an eco-friendly way if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted waste according to the material stated in the product parameters. First use up or thoroughly remove the product residues, then separate the individual parts (bottle body, pump, possibly cap) where possible and put them into the appropriate collection container according to the type of plastic or other material. Recycling rules follow the local waste sorting system, so it is advisable to rely on the information provided by your municipality and on the material data in the parameter table for this packaging.

For what type of cosmetic products is the airless bottle most suitable?

Airless packaging is ideal for formulas where protection against the ingress of air and impurities is important – for example for facial serums, emulsions with a higher content of active ingredients, special caring creams, products for the eye area or local preparations.
