Glass bottle with safety cap represents a practical and reliable packaging suitable for smaller quantities of liquid preparations. Thanks to the high-quality glass and secure closure, it is ideal for filling cosmetic formulations that require precise dosing and protection against accidental opening. The transparent glass allows for easy visual inspection of the contents, which is advantageous for labelling, checking the colour and viscosity of the product, and for smaller test batches.
This type of packaging is often used for medicine bottles, samples, concentrated blends or homemade recipes, where material stability, compatibility with various types of closures and a professional appearance are important. In terms of contact with cosmetic raw materials, glass is considered one of the most stable materials, which makes it a suitable choice also for more sensitive formulations and concentrated essences.
The glass bottle is suitable for packaging a wide range of cosmetic preparations including active serums and concentrated blends, because glass is among the stable and chemically resistant packaging materials. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils, acids or alcohol, however, we recommend always performing your own compatibility test before full-scale use and monitoring the behaviour of the product over time.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the container and the cap, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for technical disinfection. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96 % denatured vegetal, available in the Handymade range. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely so that moisture does not accumulate in the packaging, and only then refill the bottle.
First we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle – rinsing it with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, and if necessary using a brush to remove product residues. Subsequently, the packaging must be disinfected with alcohol in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination of the new product. Suitable products include, for example, IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetal from the Handymade range. After applying the alcohol, allow the bottle and the cap to dry completely at room temperature in a clean place.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend that after thorough emptying and removal of product residues you place it in sorted waste according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass container is usually to be disposed of in the container designated for glass, while plastic or metal parts of the cap are sorted according to their material composition, where possible. Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to at least roughly rinse the packaging to remove larger residues of the contents.
To select suitable packaging you can use the extended filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the chosen packaging category. In the extended filter it is possible to combine several criteria at once – select a specific neck finish, packaging size, colour and material. In this way you can easily narrow down the offer to only those bottles, vials or jars that meet the specific requirements of your product and method of dosing.
