FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this glass roll-on bottle suitable for products containing essential oils?

The glass bottle is generally very suitable for formulations containing essential oils, since glass has good chemical resistance and does not change the properties of the contents. In the case of a high proportion of essential oils or specific raw materials, we always recommend carrying out your own stress test – fill a smaller amount of product, monitor the behaviour of the ball, sealing and the stability of the formulation over time.

Can I use this roll-on bottle repeatedly for different products?

The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle, ball and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After washing and disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill them to minimize the risk of microbial growth.

How should I correctly fill the roll-on bottle so that the ball works well and there is no overflow?

We recommend filling the bottle gradually and leaving a small air gap below the neck so that the roll-on ball has space to move and dose. After inserting the ball and fitting the closure, turn the bottle upside down and roll it several times over clean skin so that the system “starts up” and the product is evenly coated around the ball. If you are using a thicker gel or oil, it is advisable to test the viscosity – formulations that are too thick may be dispensed more slowly.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle this packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types specified in the product parameters. After rinsing, the glass part of the bottle should be placed in the appropriate glass container, while the plastic or metal parts of the closure and ball mechanism must, depending on their composition, be disposed of in the corresponding separated waste stream. Before discarding, remove any product residues to make the recycling process easier and reduce the environmental burden.
