Clear Glass Bottle, Matte White Dropper, 10 ml

Precise drop-by-drop dosing in a small volume – that is the purpose of this set: a glass bottle in the shape of a vial with a nominal volume of 10 ml and a white matte dropper whose length is adapted to the height of the bottle. It is suitable primarily for facial and oil serums, blends of plant-based and essential oils, cuticle oils, concentrated active ingredients, as well as samples and test batches before larger fills.

The bottle is made of clear glass, so you can see the quantity, colour and clarity of the contents without opening it. Glass does not react with common cosmetic ingredients and tolerates aqueous, oil-based and alcohol-based contents. The dropper consists of a glass tube, a soft silicone bulb and a white matte plastic screw cap that threads directly onto the bottle neck.

What the set consists of and how it works

• Glass bottle – vial shape with a low neck and thread; 'vial' refers to the shape, not the intended use of the container. It stands stably and is easy to hold even at a small volume.
• Glass dropper tube – the contents come into contact with glass, not plastic. The tube reaches almost to the bottom, so the remaining contents can be drawn out as well.
• Silicone bulb – squeezing draws in the contents; releasing the pressure dispenses them drop by drop.
• White matte cap – the threaded PP collar holds the dropper firmly in the neck and seals the container when tightened. Fingerprints are not visible on the matte surface.

Nominal volume and total volume

When filling, it is useful to distinguish two figures. The nominal volume is the volume for which the container is intended under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is higher. The difference between them is a margin for the submerged dropper tube, for the air space above the liquid, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim – otherwise, once the dropper is inserted, the contents will be pushed out through the thread and the cap will not seal properly. Suitable for products such as

• Facial and oil serums – drop-by-drop dosing is precise and the contents do not come into contact with hands, which is an advantage for leave-on products without strong preservation.
• Essential oil blends and fragrance compositions – the small volume corresponds to the amount of concentrated blend actually used; glass does not absorb fragrance.
• Concentrated active ingredients – oil extracts, vitamin concentrates or tinctures added to cosmetics drop by drop.
• Samples and test batches – the volume is sufficient for a stability test or a customer sample without filling a large container.
• Cuticle and nail oils, eyelash and eyebrow serums – targeted applications where dosing is done one drop at a time.

What is good to know

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. Plant-based and essential oils, vitamin C, retinol and other substances sensitive to light and oxidation change more quickly in a clear container when exposed to light. The set is therefore suitable where you want to see the contents and the container is stored in the dark (drawer, box) or is used up quickly. For long-term storage of light-sensitive blends, amber or blue glass is more appropriate.

Prepare the container before the first fill. Wash the bottle and the dropper tube, rinse with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely – traces of water in an oil-based product promote microbial growth. Do not boil the dropper bulb; wiping it on the outside with alcohol is sufficient; the contents should not enter the inside of the bulb.

Reuse is possible. The glass can be washed and used again; rinse the dropper tube with alcohol and allow it to drain. If the bulb hardens, discolours or loses its elasticity, replace the dropper – the bottle can continue to be used.

Essential oils and the silicone bulb. With correct use, the contents only come into contact with glass. If the bottle is stored on its side or the bulb is squeezed too hard during dispensing, the concentrated contents may enter the bulb and the silicone may swell over time. Store the set upright and verify suitability with concentrated blends on a single unit first.

Label. For a cylindrical shape with a small diameter, the label is applied around the circumference. For oil-based contents, choose an adhesive layer resistant to oils; otherwise the label will come off at the first touch with oily fingers.

Cosmetic suitability and recycling. Both the bottle and the dropper are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; a declaration of conformity is available with the product. The set is intended for cosmetics. The bottle belongs in the glass recycling stream; the dropper consists of several materials (glass, silicone, plastic), so separate its components before disposal.
