The glass jar with white lid represents an elegant and hygienic packaging suitable for various types of cosmetic products and other semi-solid or loose mixtures. Thanks to the durable glass and practical closure, it provides stable and safe packaging for products that require reliable protection and a representative appearance. This jar is ideal for home as well as professional use, where the quality of the packaging, easy dosing of the contents and the possibility of repeated use are important.
The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that the selected jar and lid match your product exactly.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass jar can, if hygiene principles are followed, be safely used repeatedly. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable disinfectant, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after it is completely dry is the jar ready for a new filling.
The jar is ideal for semi-solid and denser cosmetic products such as face and body creams, ointments, lip balms, concentrated butters, eyebrow or hair waxes and various regenerative blends. Thanks to the sturdy glass container and screw lid, it is convenient to use in the bathroom as well as when travelling, while it facilitates taking the product out with fingers or a small spatula.
The simplest way to choose suitable packaging is to use the advanced filter in the packaging materials category. After clicking on the selected category, the advanced filter is located at the top of the page and allows you to sort the packaging according to parameters such as neck, size, colour and material. Thanks to this you will quickly find bottles, jars, vials or other containers that best match the properties of your product and the intended dosing method.
Before the first filling, we recommend washing the jar and lid in warm water with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly and allowing them to dry. It is then appropriate to disinfect the internal surfaces of the packaging with an alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After the alcohol has completely evaporated, the jar can be safely filled with a cosmetic product. Observe hygiene principles while working to minimise the risk of product contamination.
If you decide not to use the jar further, we recommend first emptying it of any product residues. Wipe out or rinse the glass container and then place it in the container designated for glass waste according to local recycling rules. The lid is usually made of plastic or composite material – adapt how you sort it to the information given in the parameter table at the product on the Handymade website, so that recycling is as effective as possible. By sorting correctly you support the reuse of materials and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
Yes, the glass jar is very suitable for packaging smaller trial, travel or gift sizes of cosmetics. It allows you to create representative mini versions of creams, balms or butters that you can use for sampling for customers, limited editions or value sets. Thanks to its compact size, it is easy to carry and at the same time looks aesthetic even with a smaller product volume.
