Transparent plastic bottle with flip-top cap represents a practical and aesthetic packaging for cosmetic and hygiene preparations, enabling convenient dispensing without unscrewing the cap. Thanks to the transparent design, you always have the contents under visual control, which is ideal for liquid soaps, gels, emulsions and lighter oil-based products. The flip-top mechanism supports clean, quick and controlled application, which is especially important for products intended for everyday use.
The flip-top cap allows dispensing of low- to medium-viscosity preparations such as toners, shower gels, shampoos or body lotions. For very thick products (e.g. rich creams or butters) we recommend first testing with a small amount to see whether the contents flow smoothly through the opening of the cap and, if necessary, choosing another type of packaging, for example a jar or a bottle with a pump.
The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % – isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the inner surface has completely dried is the packaging ready to be refilled, ideally with the same or a similar type of product, in order to minimise the risk of undesirable interaction with residues of the previous formulation.
Plastic bottles are intended for use at normal room and bathroom temperatures. The PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, because with prolonged or repeated heating there is a risk of deformation of the packaging and deterioration of the cap sealing. The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. For cleaning we recommend using a mild detergent solution in lukewarm water, optionally followed by rinsing and disinfection with alcohol. After washing, allow the bottle and cap to dry thoroughly upside down on a clean absorbent surface.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it, rinsing it as thoroughly as possible to remove product residues and then sorting it according to the recommended type of recycling given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website. Plastic bottles made of PET material are usually placed, after cleaning, in the container intended for plastic waste. It is advisable to separate the cap to facilitate sorting at the recycling facility. By following these steps, you support efficient material recycling and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
