Before each new filling, the bottle and the pump must be cleaned as thoroughly as possible and then carefully disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Disinfection helps to minimize microbiological risk and increases the safety of the finished product.

After emptying the bottle, it is advisable to dismantle the packaging into individual parts (bottle, pump, tube) and rinse them thoroughly with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent. We then recommend rinsing all parts with clean water and allowing them to dry completely. Before refilling, the internal surfaces must be disinfected with an alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. For PET material, avoid high temperatures, boiling and the dishwasher to prevent deformation of the packaging.

If you decide not to continue using the bottle with pump, it is recommended, after emptying and basic rinsing, to place it in separated waste collection according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters (e.g. plastic packaging in the appropriate container for plastics). Before recycling, it is advisable to separate the individual parts of the packaging (bottle, pump, possibly tube) according to the material from which they are made, so that the sorting process is as efficient as possible. Local recycling rules may differ, so it is advisable to follow the recommendations of your collection system.

The bottle with pump is designed for standard cosmetic formulations, including emulsions and mildly oil-based preparations. For products with a higher proportion of oils, essential oils or specific active substances, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – filling a smaller amount of the product and monitoring over time the stability of the plastic, the sealing and the functionality of the pump. If no changes in colour, odour, shape of the packaging or deterioration of dosing occur, the packaging is generally suitable for the given formulation.
