FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic jar suitable for repeated use?

The jar can be used repeatedly provided you follow basic hygiene rules and monitor any signs of wear of the packaging or the lid. Before each new filling, the jar must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection, we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured, and it is important to let the packaging dry completely after application.

How should I correctly clean and disinfect the jar before the next use?

First remove any residues of the original contents and rinse the jar with a suitable cleaning solution according to the type of product that was stored in it. Then disinfection is necessary – using alcohol is practical, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % denatured ethanol. After applying the disinfectant, allow the packaging and the lid to dry thoroughly at room temperature so that no moisture or alcohol residues remain inside before the next filling.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this plastic jar if I do not want to use it further?

Before recycling, first remove any product residues and empty the packaging as much as possible. Then dispose of the jar and the lid in the appropriate container according to the recycling symbol and the type of plastic specified in the product parameters. Always follow the local waste sorting rules in your municipality or city. If it is not possible to recycle the packaging under local conditions, dispose of it in mixed municipal waste. The preferred option, however, is recycling according to the material marking on the product.

Is it suitable to expose this plastic jar to high temperatures or wash it in a dishwasher?

The plastic material of the jar is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures, therefore washing it in a dishwasher or boiling it is not recommended. With excessive thermal load, there may be deformation of the shape, weakening of the lid and deterioration of the sealing properties. For cleaning, rather use lukewarm water, a mild detergent and subsequent disinfection with alcohol, and let the packaging air-dry at room temperature.
