The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene rules are followed. Before every new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the safe use of the packaging.

What type of plastic is the bottle made of and how should it be properly recycled?

The bottle is made of recycled plastic material which, at the end of its service life, can again be placed in sorted waste collection according to the identification given in the product parameters (you will find the material symbol in the technical description). Before placing it in sorted waste, we recommend emptying the packaging as much as possible, rinsing it if necessary and, where possible, separating any closure or dispenser if they are made of a different material. If you decide not to re-use the packaging, an appropriate option is to recycle it in accordance with local waste sorting rules.

Is this recycled plastic also suitable for more sensitive cosmetic formulations?

The recycled plastic used for these bottles is designed to meet common requirements for packaging cosmetic and technical liquids. However, for more sensitive or highly active formulations (for example with a high content of acids, alcohol or essential oils) we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test. This consists of filling a smaller amount of product, monitoring any changes to the packaging and verifying the sealing of the selected closure or dispenser under real conditions of use.

How should I clean the bottle properly if I want to refill it?

After emptying the packaging, we recommend first rinsing the bottle thoroughly with suitable water or a medium that dissolves residues of the original product. Then it is advisable to wash the packaging with a mild cleaning agent, rinse well and allow it to dry completely. Before refilling, it is always necessary to disinfect the inner surface and the thread, for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. This ensures the highest possible hygienic standard during repeated use.
