Coco Betaine is a mild amphoteric tenside from C12-C14 derivatives of coconut fatty chains, suitable as both a primary and secondary tenside. In the formulation it acts as a foam booster, thickener/viscosity building ingredient and also as an antistatic additive. It is characterized by high compatibility with anionic, non-ionic and cationic systems, so it works reliably in a wide range of cleaning and hair products. It is completely water soluble, has a neutral profile and is also suitable for gentle and everyday use.

Use in formulation:

• Solubility: complete in water.

• Dosage (indicative):

  • as co-tenside in shampoos, shower gels, soaps: 2-10 %

  • conditioners/leave-ons with antistatic effect: 1-5 %

• Incorporation: into the aqueous phase with stirring; can also be added after cooling.

• Heat resistance: normally workable up to 80 °C.
