Glass jar with plastic lid represents a professional solution for packaging creamy, gel-based and more solid formulations where protection of the composition and storage stability are important. With the filter you can clearly narrow down the range according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material and thus more easily find a solution that best matches the specific product and method of use.

Is this glass jar suitable for repeated use?

The jar can be used repeatedly provided that hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimize the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection we recommend, for example, isopropyl alcohol (IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol) or plant-based ethanol (Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). After thorough drying, the jar is ready to be refilled with a new batch of product.

How should I properly clean the jar before first use and between individual batches?

Before first use and between individual batches, we recommend first cleaning the jar mechanically (from product residues, dust or impurities), then washing it in a suitable cleaning agent and rinsing thoroughly. After complete drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surfaces and the lid with alcohol, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. A packaging prepared in this way is suitable for filling with a new product.

For which type of products is this jar most suitable in terms of consistency?

The jar is most suitable for thicker and semi-solid formulations where direct removal with fingers or a spatula is practical. These are mainly face and body creams, butters, lip balms, ointments, solid or creamy aromatherapeutic cosmetics, clay and powder masks after dilution, and smaller amounts of test formulations. Thanks to the sturdy glass, it is also suitable for longer-term storage of home-made formulations, provided that hygiene and the recommended method of preservation are observed.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle the jar if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the jar any longer, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, placing it into the appropriate separate waste stream according to the material type indicated in the parameter table at the product on the Handymade.sk website. The glass part of the packaging is usually placed in the container intended for glass, and the plastic lid in separate plastic waste, unless local regulations state otherwise. By following the recommendations for waste separation, you contribute to effective recycling of used packaging.
