The flat cotton wick with thin wound fibers is produced by processing paper fiber in combination with advanced braiding technology, therefore providing the EKO series with excellent stability without the need for a core. This combination increases the self-cleaning effect and reduces the formation of so-called mushrooming (the burned wick does not fray and no fungus-shaped deposits are formed on it), soot and smoke. EKO wicks work very well in natural waxes and blends, as well as in paraffin waxes with a low melting point.

For the correct selection of the wick, it is important to know the diameter of the container for the candle. In the case of a small size, your candle will not burn through to the edge and will create a so-called tunnel. In the case of a wick that is too strong, the wax will melt excessively and the whole candle will be melted instead of the wax melting gradually and evenly.
