Product description

Niaouli essential oil is characterized by strong antirheumatic, anti‑inflammatory and insecticidal properties. Its inhalation helps with inflammations of the respiratory tract and is particularly suitable for supporting expectoration. At the same time, it helps to repel insects. Niaouli essential oil comes from the leaves of the plant Melaleuca Viridiflora, traditional for Australia.

Niaouli essential oil has a sweet, slightly woody scent and can be used in soaps, balms, scar creams, bath products or in cleansing preparations for the skin. Do not apply essential oil undiluted to the skin; always disperse it in a small amount of carrier oil.

The maximum recommended dosage for individual product types can be found, for example, in the IFRA standards; usually the dosage is up to 1 %.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – trunks, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, have healing and protective effects. They act very positively on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental levels.

Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend consuming any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat‑soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW CAN I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Cosmetics and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific formula and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, then pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils on their own are not soluble in water; the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold‑pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your preference.

Essential oils are also popular for use in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, oral hygiene care, etc.
