Product description

Lime essential oil, cold-pressed, is obtained by steam distillation from the fruits of a small evergreen tree that very noticeably resembles the lemon tree. The fruits have a bitter-sour taste.

The essential oil has a fresh, sweet scent characteristic of citrus fruits.
It blends well with fragrances such as bergamot, cedarwood, grapefruit, lavender, ylang ylang, lemon, rose, petitgrain, vetiver, nutmeg, rosewood, mandarin, rosemary, or orange.

It is used in massage blends for its relaxing effect, which reduces stress. In cosmetics, it is used in skin care (for impure and oily skin, also in case of insect bites).
In aromatherapy it has a good effect on easy breathing.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, unsuitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – trunks, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and, in addition to that, also have healing and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional, and mental levels.

Their chemical composition is fairly complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction, or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are applied directly to the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exception is tea tree essential oil and lavender, which you can apply directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products, we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are oil-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW DO I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Cosmetics and soap making – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific formula and the quantity produced.
Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser, or into a container with hot water.
Bath – mix the drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, pour this mixture into the bathtub. Pure essential oils are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.
Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint, or citrus scents. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your preference.

Essential oils are also popularly used in skin care, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
