Product description

Euxy K 712 is a mild and effective preservative designed for modern cosmetic products with a pH up to approximately 5.5. It combines sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate - two substances with a proven safety profile and reliable protection against bacteria, yeasts and moulds. It is completely soluble in water, easy to incorporate and does not cause any change in the smell or colour of the finished product. Due to its mildness, it is also suitable for sensitive skin, baby and natural cosmetics.

Use in formulation

• Recommended dosage: 0.5 - 1.5% depending on product type and microbial risk.
• Optimally effective at pH ≤ 5.5.
• Stable in anionic, cationic and non-ionic systems.
• Add to the aqueous phase during cooling(below 40 °C).
• Avoid prolonged heating above 80 °C.
• Regulatory limits: EU - up to 1,96 % (leave-on) and 5,35 % (rinse-off).
• For higher microbial risk, we recommend an upper dose limit and confirmation of efficacy by challenge test.

Safety and storage

EuxylK 712 is well tolerated, suitable for both gentle formulations and products for sensitive skin. Store in the original sealed container, protected from heat and direct sunlight. It does not cause discoloration or haze in acidic systems.
