The plastic safety cap is a closure designed for reliable and hygienic sealing of containers with a compatible neck finish, where first‑opening control is important. The tamper‑evident design helps to detect any unwanted opening or handling during storage and distribution, which is especially valuable for products intended for sale or professional use. The cap is of cosmetic and food grade quality, making it suitable for a wide range of liquid products.

Possible uses

Cosmetic products: toners, hydrolats, micellar waters, cleansing solutions, shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps
Extracts, oils, aromatic blends: macerates, oil blends, aromatic solutions (it is recommended to perform your own compatibility test, especially with strongly aromatic components)
Food use: liquid food supplements, tinctures, syrups, concentrates and extracts intended for internal use – after verifying the compatibility of the entire set‑up

Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

We recommend using the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the selected category. You can filter by: neck finish, size, colour, material – this will allow you to quickly narrow down the selection to compatible containers and closures.

What does it mean that the cap is a safety cap?

A safety cap is designed to provide first‑opening control. After the first opening it is possible to recognise visually that the pack has already been opened or tampered with, which is particularly practical in sales and distribution.

Is this cap suitable for use with cosmetics?

Yes, the cap is cosmetic grade and is intended for use with cosmetic products under standard storage and use conditions.

Can I also use the cap for food products?

Yes, the cap is food grade and suitable for direct contact with all types of food. For a specific product, we recommend verifying the compatibility of the entire container + closure combination under real conditions.

Can the cap be used repeatedly?

Yes, the cap can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the cap must be cleaned and disinfected (ALK001 / ALK002), for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. After disinfection, allow the cap to dry thoroughly.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle the cap if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the cap, we recommend recycling it. Since it is made of PP plastic material, the cap belongs in the segregated collection of plastics in accordance with local rules and the instructions of your waste collection company.
