Is this plastic bottle suitable for repeated use?

The bottle can be used repeatedly provided that you observe basic hygiene rules and the material is compatible with the given type of filling. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Only afterwards do we recommend filling the packaging again in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend emptying it and removing any remaining contents according to the nature of the original product. It is then appropriate to sort the packaging, separated into its individual parts (bottle, closure, any inserts), into sorted waste collection according to the material type stated in the product parameters on the Handymade.sk website. The recycling symbol and material specification will indicate which container the packaging belongs in. By following this procedure, you support efficient recycling and reduce the amount of waste.

What should I watch out for when filling this plastic bottle with my own formulations?

When filling with your own formulations, it is important to verify the compatibility of the contents with the plastic material, especially in the case of strongly acidic, alkaline or highly concentrated alcoholic and essential mixtures. We recommend preparing a small trial batch, observing the bottle for several days and checking for any changes in colour, shape or softening of the material. At the same time, avoid filling at extremely high temperatures so that the packaging is not deformed and the sealing of the closure is not weakened.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned before further use?

Before repeated use, it is suitable to first rinse the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent appropriate for the given type of contamination. After mechanical cleaning, we recommend disinfecting the packaging using a suitable alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature. The use of a dishwasher or boiling is not recommended unless the product parameters explicitly state that such a procedure is suitable.
