Plastic bottle with disc top closure represents a practical solution for packaging liquid and slightly viscous products where convenient dispensing and clean application are important. Thanks to its reliable sealing and durable material, the packaging is suitable for everyday use in cosmetics as well as in artisan production, while allowing hygienic and controlled withdrawal of the contents without unnecessary waste.
The construction of the bottle in combination with the disc top cap ensures comfortable one-hand opening and precise dispensing directly into the palm, onto a pad or onto the area to be treated. This type of packaging is especially popular for products that require quick use, good handling and an aesthetic presentation of the final product.
The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (seal tightness, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

The disc top cap is primarily designed for low to medium viscosity preparations that easily flow through the opening under gentle pressure on the bottle. With very thick creams or gels, dispensing may be less comfortable, therefore for a new formula we recommend testing the flow of the product and the throughput through the closure in a small trial quantity in advance.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed; however, we always recommend thorough cleaning and disinfection before each new filling. To disinfect the inner surface of the bottle and closure, you can use technical ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After rinsing and disinfection, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination of the new product.
We recommend storing filled bottles in a dry place, at a stable room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Always tighten the closure carefully to minimize air access and the risk of evaporation of volatile components. For products containing plant oils and sensitive actives, it is advisable to avoid long-term exposure to higher temperatures, which could accelerate oxidation or change the consistency.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it, removing any remaining product and sorting it according to the material designation given in the product parameters. The bottle body and closure usually belong in the container for sorted plastic; it is advisable to separate the individual parts (bottle, cap, any insert) to facilitate the recycling process. Always follow the local waste sorting rules in your municipality or city and the recommendations given for the specific type of packaging on the Handymade website.
