The container is intended primarily for cosmetic, hygienic and craft formulations with liquid consistency that can be applied as a fine mist. Before final use, we recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing compatibility with your formula – especially for products with high alcohol or oil content or for very viscous preparations, which may affect the functionality of the spray mechanism and the sealing of the container.

The container can be reused if hygiene rules are followed. Before each refilling, the bottle and the spray mechanism must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to prevent microbial spoilage of the new batch of product. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol available from Handymade, which you will find as IPA 99 % and denatured ethanol. After cleaning, allow the packaging to dry completely and only then refill it.

First, rinse the container and the spray mechanism mechanically with clean water to remove residues of the original product. Then it is advisable to use a disinfectant alcohol-based preparation. In the Handymade range you will find, for example, IPA 99 isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ "IPA 99 isopropyl alkohol" target="_blank") or Etanol 96 % denaturovany rastlinný (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/ "Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný" target="_blank"). Pour the disinfectant into the container, spray it several times through the spray mechanism and allow all parts to air dry in a clean place. Only after complete evaporation of the alcohol is the packaging ready for refilling.

If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material type indicated in the product parameters on the Handymade website. First, use up or safely remove any remaining contents and rinse the inside of the container. Plastic parts usually belong in the container intended for plastics, and it is advisable to separate the bottle and the spray mechanism if they are made of different materials. You can find the specific recycling symbol and sorting recommendation in the product parameter table; therefore always follow this information and local waste sorting rules.
