FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic bottle suitable for repeated use?

Yes, this packaging can be used repeatedly with proper care. For each new filling, it is important to observe hygiene principles – first rinse the bottle and sprayer thoroughly, clean them and then disinfect them. For disinfection we recommend using technical ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after complete drying is the packaging ready to be refilled.

How should I properly clean and maintain this packaging between individual fillings?

After the contents have been used up, we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, and then thoroughly rinsing with clean water. It is advisable to “spray through” the sprayer several times with clean water to remove residues of the original product from the mechanism. Before the next use, the packaging must be disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution (e.g. IPA or ethanol) and left to dry completely in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination of the new refill.

How can I dispose of or recycle this plastic bottle in an environmentally friendly way if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the plastic type specified in the product parameters. Before placing it in sorted waste, empty the bottle as much as possible and rinse it so that no formulation residues remain inside. Then place it in the appropriate container according to the recycling symbol and local waste sorting rules. The sprayer may be composed of several materials; if the local waste collection system allows, follow the instructions for composite plastics, or dispose of it in mixed waste if separate sorting is not available.

For which types of products is the sprayer on this bottle most suitable?

The sprayer is most suitable for low-viscosity liquids, i.e. waters, hydrolates, alcohol solutions and light water or water-alcohol blends. For thicker emulsions and oil-based mixtures, the dispersion may be less even and nozzle clogging may occur. For your own formulations, we recommend first testing a small amount of product to verify that the texture and composition are fully compatible with the spray mechanism and that the dosing is comfortable for your intended use.
